AT&T Transfer Service Guide
AT&T Transfer Service is designed to transfer your AT&T service to another customer, or receive service from another customer. If you no longer wish to be financially responsible for your wireless service and contract, and another person is willing to take on the responsibility/liability of your account, AT&T can perform a Transfer of Billing Responsibility on your account. This would take the account from your name and Social Security number/credit information to another person’s name and Social Security number/credit information.
In order to finish the transfer service process, you need to log in AT&T myWireless account. An $18 Transfer of Service Fee (per line) will be assessed for all transfers completed over the phone or at a retail store. The person who receive your account transfer need to be 18 years old or above with a credit evaluation, and accept the remaining contract term from the date the transfer takes place.
Other than AT&T account service transfer, you can also bring your number, which is within another wireless network, to AT&T. You need to make sure the phone number is eligible for account transfer to AT&T.
